Post have been lacking, sorry bout that. I have been busy with post Christmas orders and working on new bikes. Also getting ready for Sat. nights New Years bash here at the shop from 5-8. Complete with BMX demos outside and rockbands ripping inside, gonna be sa-weeeeet. Hope you can all make it here to check it out.!!

DG X-Mas party

Had everyone over the shop for a little xmas style gathering. made a bunch of tacos, homemade Mom dukes cookies, and yankee swap gift giving. It was a darn good time. We also watched the doc. about DG Foisy made for school. Super rad. Great having everyone together again.

Got a Sparkys order in today(New Shadow/Subrosa/ect). This was the box the product came in, Sparkys is just outside of Casselberry fl. Everyone asks me why I talk about this place so much. How good of friends are you with those guys? How long have you known them? Well, I'll tell you. I went there for the first time 4 years ago. Henny and Dan were down there and Eric called me and was like "Chuck, you have to come down here, these guys are awesome, you'll love it." (Eric knows how much I love BMX) So i flew down. Instantly I was welcomed by everyone who all had no idea who i was or what I do. Just a friendly bunch. Since then I try and go twice a year and take the shop trip there every year. Always welcomed with an open invite, these guys just rule. I feel like they are some of the most genuin people i have EVER met. I'm not sure what they really think of me, a guy ten years older then most of them who isn't anywhere near good bmx rider, but I think they are like me, and don't give a shit what you can or can't do on a bike as long as your having fun. They just happen to all be bad ass riders. In this past 4 years some of the most memorable and fun times in my BMX life, have been with these guys in Casselberry. Part of the reason i love it there is as simple as getting a box from the area, complete with a note reminding me of how awesome those guys are everyday. We should all strive to be nice and open to helping each other out and just hanging out and having a simple fun good time together more often, take a page out of the Casselberry book. Dan is leaving to go there for winter in a few days. I am beyond jealous. Feb. is too far away. Thanks for the box billy, it made my day!!!

Sunday was a Funday.

Josh Foisey came down from Bostonia to hang for the day. We hung at the shop for a bit and then headed over to Dayville park for an afternoon of fun. Miller Joe, Chris Deieieielololololo, Frankfurter, Kasak, Nicky P, and I were all fooling around all day doing dumb shit that needs to happen more often. Josh finished the clips he needed for the DG documentary he has been working on and should finish editing it this week!!! I am real psyched on it, we will be showing it here for everyone sometime soon!!!

RAYS!!!!!!!!

Ben, Adam, Josh, Dan and I headed out to Ohio to rays Mtn. bike park this past weekend. We rode for just about 8 hours non-stop. I couldn't even pedal anymore I was so exhausted. Place is the most fun ever. I am working a short vid of the little bit we taped while there, but it was tooo much fun to sit back and tape stuff.

Best X-up I have done in a long time!!! Look Eric, my legs aren't even bowed!!!!

Adam rented this Jump bike, he was into it, gettin stylish and jumpin stuff after non ridin a bike in some time.

Dan with some serious moto-style, he was flying all over the place and sit down wheelies were a poppin!! More on this trip soon!!!!

Bostonia....

Jordo and Justin, Mark, and the fat kid were all skating Boston this weekend. They got shit done. I believe they are shootin moves for an upcoming DG skate only DVD release.... Anyway, filming or not, these guys are awesome!!! Can't wait to see more!!!

Turkey Day!

Line is getting crazy waiting for the special Black Friday deals at DG!!!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Normally that means have a fun day off with family and friends eating good home cooked meals and I think for most people football is somehow involved. It seems more and more it is getting away from that and more about leaving your friends and family behind to be the first one in line to get a few bucks offf a new box of technology. Total Bullshit... What the F has happened to everyone?? I am happy to say that I will be riding with all my friends early in the am, and then spending the afternoon and evening with my family at MOM dukes house. Pretty psyched. I'm a fan of everyone doing whatever they want, but it seems stupid to put off being with people you care about so that big box stores can suck you into saving a few pennies on some gizmo to gift to those people you left behind on Thanksgiving.

Black Friday we are open at normal time, 10ish am. I have some good deals going just for Friday, I'll post the sale stuff Tomorrow night, mention it and get the deal.

THE ROAD TRIP.

Here's the deal.... There is never going to be a time when I don't want to be with these guys.... The past week was fun as shit. Maybe not the most epic trip ever, but i keep looking at all the pictures and remembering the ball breaking and the laughter and all the friends we saw and made along the way. I honestly can't thank the guys who went with me on this trip enough, This shop, this place that I love so much, it would not be what it is without these guys in the photos above. So thanks again fellas for another amazing trip, ten days that came and went like it crammed into a weekend. When i think of this trip and all that it was and that it is now in the history books and can never again be repeated I have to remind myself, Oh yeah, we are all going again next year!!! Fuck YEAH!!!

2011 ROADTRIP DAY 4 AND 5

Day 4 we went back to KONA and then food and party time at the house. Day 5 was ramp sesh in the am followed by the springs and then Bayridge sushi, a quick run through the trails for a bit, brought Chris to the airport and then went to OSP for a bit to ride. Back to the house to Jam and hanag with the casselberry crew..... here's some pics.....

Day 3.

Today we hit up the Datona skate plaza, it was super fun, nice and hot, and everyone had a blast!!!

After Datona we went to Steak and Shake, then to pick up our road tripper left behind who Casselberry claimed the night before. (Dan Danger) We went to OSP skatepark with AAron and Joey from the house, as well as Trey Jones, Shotgun Billy, and a bunch of other rippers, no pics though, too much fun!!! After OSP we went to see Eric Pains Jam sesh, that was amazing and now it is off to the house and the DG tent city in the front yard, more tomorrow!!!!

Day 1&2 slideshow....

After leavin my sis' house, we took off towards Norfolk for the FBM premiere. Went over the Chesapeek Bay Bridge, stopped at a local park for a bit, and then raged out till 3 am at the Belmont!!! Slept in a random parking lot outside.... Day 2 we got up and slowly drove all the way to FLA, stopped in at Kona, got rained(misted) out and left for some MOes and two more hours to Casselberry, hangin with the best people in BMX at 71N now.... On the road night #1

I got the Burb a little early and we left Fri night at about 7. Drove to Baltimore and occupied my sisters house at 1:30 in the am, there was a pizza in the fridge and plenty of drinks, a huge couch and comphy floor!! Super psyched that we are already in Baltimore and it is 7am!!!! more tonight hopefully... FBM PREMIERE!!!!!!!!!

ROOOAD TRIPPIN TIME.

Looks like all the T's have been crossed and we are dotting the last of the I's. It's time again for the annual DG trip. This time round it's Myself, Nick, Dan,Jordan,Justin, Marc and we added little Shaun White and we are pretty sure Frank is still going. We are headed off to good ol FLORIDA once again to hang with the nicest dudes in BMX. I couldn't be more pumped!!
The shop will be CLOSED from Sat the 5th till Monday the 13th.
I have some Family and friends stopping in each day to get Leo some food so if anyone needs anything please call me and I can arrange to have them meet you at a certain time.I should be able to be reached at 860-942-4444. If you have to, call me and i'll have someone open up the shop for you while we are away.

Oh it's on...

All I can say is, you don't wanna miss this one.

F'in Sell outs!!!!

DK pulled out of all mail order companies earlier this year so they could focus on independent bike shops and better suit their dealers.... and they picked up one major bike shop that I am sure is the only one they were talking about when they said focus on out independent retailers.... muther f*ckers, I hope you like your halfway decent Walmart bike put together by either a 15 year old know nothing "bike mechanic". I guess that what happens when you only look for the all mighty $, I wonder if the suit running DK is a fat bald guy?? (Not a dig on FBM, just saying that is why FBM is called....FBM) Oh well, I guess that's more service work for me!!! You can confirm by checking this link HERE. What a shit show.

I love my bicycle.

When I was ten, I loved my Bicycle. I had the broken piece of wood on a block jump over the curb into the grass that we jumped all day long and was pumped!!
At 14 or 15 I remember 360in doubles we dug in the Plainfield pits and high fivin everyone after, pumped!! When I was 30 I did an under bar height handrail in Albany and was stoked for days. last week at 35 I did a 540 tailtap and I am still smilin over it.
This trick list may be no big deal to the average rider, I'm psyched on it and if you were there and you were psyched on it then you understand me and who I am. I love my bike, i live for those moments and those memories. I have met more people and have the best friends anyone could ask for because of this little kids bmx bike. If you see me smiling in five years from now it'll prob be because I cleared a curb off a broken piece of wood on a block into the grass, I'll high five you and I'll be pumped for days, I love my Bicycle.

Super easy to get to from this area just head up the highway to exit 2 get on rt.16 till you get to the park. haha. The layout is super fun and it is cheaper than most parks in our area, plus the vibe there is welcoming and super awesome. Bob over at rad was super pumped to help Jordo with the contest. Native bike builds...

James at Native BMXfrom Casselberry FL is one awesome dude, thats why we at DG support his company to the fullest. I believe we have sold almost 10 Native frames out of this store and even more bars!!! This is a true to every meaning of BMX as a company gets. These guys live it. Here's a few of the latest Native custom builds we have done here at the shop, starting with my new trails ripper!!!!

Monday post #2, WILLI PARK!!!!!

Jordan, Mark, Chris and I took a ride to Willi to meet up with Poprocki and his concrete crew. The park is coming along and looks like it should be one of the best parks in our area. It is big, real big, and has a little of everything. I can't wait to see the finish product. Below are some more shots of the park, it should be finished in under two months!!!
