Day 2 comes to an end......

Day one was sweet. I guess the way it is gonna go on this trip is slowwwwwwww. We left late from the shop as soon as Dan showed up. Went to Brooklyn NY for the Redbull BMX jam, it was cold and windy, but Buck Chocolate was in full effect right up to the back of the neck.

We left there and headed toward Florida. Stopped at 3am to sleep in a hotel parking lot. Wawa for gas in the morning of day 2 and then hit the highway. I wanted to stop at Recycles to visit Even V. on our way through Richmond. We got breakfast waiting for the shop to open and then rode some street.

Dropped the skaters off downtown and went to the shop. Soon as we arrived we got the call that Marcy was knocked out and broke his collarbone.

Back downtown and to the hospital to drop them off and then I went to meet the Bikers. While Marcy was in the ER I enjoyed some sweet pizza with the guys and took part in Zombie walk. There were hundreds of Zombies walkin the streets, it was awesome!!!
Picked up Mark who was on some good stuff and ready to stay the whole trip. We went to Recycles for the rest of the day and then off to a few bars.

We watched Ruel Worms band and then headed to a block party.

Now at Evans house ready for sleep and a long day of driving to Casselberry tommorow. I'll post more when it happens!!!! Wish us luck!!!!

Trip day 1 and 2 !!!

Fuckin nuts, marc broke his collarbone, but he manned up and decided to stay the whole trip!!!! Here is every pic we took so far!!!!

Today is the day!!!!

Alrighty then, Last night was a huge success. 20 carved pumpkins and 40 people made for a fun night. Check out the slideshow above, just don't mind the music, i forgot to change it. This is the most crazy October ever, I have built 29 custom wheels this month!!! 29!!, and i have 4 to build as soon as get back already. I don't know what to say except i have been building wheels for atleast 4 hours every day i was open this month. Awesomeness!!!!!

I helped Burns make a sweeet beach cruiser for his wife.

I footjammed the tall long quarter before Taylor, making our footjam competition 2 to 1, This was his best sad face. Awesome.

I had a guy come in and buy the best of the best and this is what came out of it. Custom FBM worms frame with profile and Animal everything. I'm gonna do a more betterness post on this bike when i have a few, it is easily the sickest bike to ever come out the shop. I want it.

Today, tomorrow, then Friday we're gone!! 3 days!!

Here's a few Casselberry pics from last year. This is our destination for the 2010 trip. So much more goes on here then just a set of trails. The most friendly crowd i have ever known once again extends the invite and the seven of us are in for a great time. Just 3 more days and we are underway.

Trip countdown....5 days!!!

The quality here is not great, I'm not sure what happened, but this is the entire first road trip dvd, This was the second DG trip we took, but a video from year one never happened. This is one of my favorite trips with the old crew and some out of town friends that are just awesome to hang with.... So take a look, DG roadtrip 2005....

In just 6 days the DG trip will be underway> The line up is myself, Jordan, Justin K, Marc Nube, Dan Danger, Nick Prete and special guest Webster Jake. Super pumped on these guys and lookin forward to chillen for 10 days in Florida with them all. First stop is the Redbull Holloween Jam in Brooklyn NY, then it's straight to Casselberry Florida. I am most pumped to go to Kona skatepark. I still remember over a year ago gettin the phone call from Eric and he was like, "Chuck, get on a plane right now and get here to Kona, you will love it!" All week long i will posting some old road trip photos, starting with a few from last years trip...

Just a few more days before the second thanks for shopping at DG night at shrews!!!! Tickets are here at the shop and it's gonna be a sweet ass time. Come have some fun with all of us!!!!

Also, lots of new stuff in this week. Rediculous really for Oct. New Shadow stuff, bars,forks,pegs,rims,hubs,tires,backpacks. New Animal stuff, hats, flannels, tools,rims,pegs. New FIT stuff, tires,bars,stems. new SKATE product, Indy Jackets, Spitfire jackets, trucks, wheels, bearings, boards, completes, lots and lots of new stuff. We built 6 sets of Profile wheels this week, What????? Lucky kids.... come git some!!!!

SHREWS RENTAL THIS WEEKEND!!!!!

It's that time again!!!! If you went last time then you know whats up! You have to come to the shop and get a ticket to get in, no cash at the park, you must buy a ticket here!!!! Lizard Wizard...

The Lizard Wizard, he's fast, he's quiet, and I'm sure you have seen his green and orange spotted bike bike scurrying around the park or trails in the woods a time or two. Shaun Fredrics' B-day is today, so if you see him hobbblin round, give him a shout. I asked Shaun to go on this years road trip with us to Florida on Holloween and he was pumped. A few hours later he was layed out on the ground with a broken knee cap and now unable to ride and go on the trip. I think i was more bummed than he was getting the news. So was Ethan and Taylor who both are without their favorite person to ride with for the winter. I'm sure Shaun is still more bummed then we are though. Well, Happy Bday Wizard, I'm sure your makin the best of it. Couch is open at the shop if you want to chill here again.

Dude calls me this morning and asks if i can fix his bent axle. "What kind of wheel you got bro?" "it came with on an S&M bike" He replies. "It's an Animal axle." I figuered it was like a Fit complete or somethin cause to the best of my knowledge S&M has not made complete bikes,and Animal does not make axles, maybe it was a build up but the guy didn't seem like he really was into it enough to have that type of bike. Anyway, I said "yeay, bring it in, I can prolly fix whatever you got." Just an hour later in walks a 28-30 year old guy holding the smallest little piece in his hand, "I called earlier, you think you can straighten this with some pliers or somethin, or just get me a new one." I kinda just stared at him in amazment for a second, then let out a little laugh and fixed his Flix Trix finger bike axle with a pair of needle nose and my vice. No charge brosef. haha ...Danielson, got to love it. Gives new meaning to full service BMX shop i guess, We do it all!!!!

Sunday night ramp sesh!!!

Broke out the ol DG ramps and fired up the grill for everyone last night. We had a sweeet ass time hangin together ridin, eating, drinkin , and watchin the "This is United" dvd. Ridin the ramps today before they get put away again till new years!!

LinOG pegs, these are the best, these things slide over anything, and they last longer than your plastic pedals. Whitewall tires in 2.20 now, also new profile hubs and hubguards, more United dvd's, and don't forget the new DG ty-dy's!!!! Git some!!!!

Dan and all the Dg guys stopped by Worcester EB to hang with Spike and Webster jake for a bit before the skatepark rental last Sat. night. Dan got a sweet long sleeve winter vest and there is a little ditty bout it on the EB site. Check it out. More pics from Sat. night comin soon as i get em!!! NEW TEES!!!!

These are gonna be here Tuesday!!!! If they will go as fast as the red ones i would suggest you get one right away, They won't last long and if you did get one of red tees then your prob still wearing it because they are super comphy.

Also this week, Gypsy tour dvd's, more United dvd's, Animal headsets in all colors, animal BBs, another Shadow order with sprockets, chains, bars, pegs and hubs, ODI super long longnecks, and longnecks in all colors, O' grips (the best!) and lots more I'm sure.....Get some!!
