Santa Barbara and onward, Day 7

We woke up and were headin toward the Santa Barbara skate park, only had to wait 2 hours for Dan to once again start getting ready after everyone else was basically packed and in the Van. (It was Dans daily routine.) Santa Barbara park was pretty awesome, lots of good skaters which was cool. It was right on the beach so the scenery was amazing. I only took a few pics, this one is Joe doing a 270 Bar from bank to bank. I got another Table top photo here but, there are only so many Chuck doing table photos to post in one day and Day 7 is gonna have 2 or three already. We rode here for the typical 2 hour sesh and then headed toward Santa Clarita, an amazing huge outdoor park!

Wait, Hold on.... We were getting hungry and towns kinda just pop up after miles of nothing, so the next town we were gonna grab something to eat. While we were looking for places to eat, we were sitting at a red light, Sam looks over and is like "Hey, a skatepark!" So i quickly took the right at the light and we came up on Fillmore Skate park. This place was so good, ended up riding here for like 4 hours, it had a bit of everything and it was basically empty. Super fun

I try to mix it up between X-ups and table tops... Psyched on this cause my legs be straight, and that's rare.

Joe took his hands off for a new school tuck no hander.

Dan even got in on the pump the bowl and air out of the quarter game, it was sweeet cause you aired out of one quarter into a mellow bowled corner, super fun!!! I seriously rolled in and out of the bowl, pumping around so many times my legs were getting shaky after a while.

Sam did this sweeet lookback. So dialed!!!

Had to post atleast one more Table photo. It's my second favorite trick in BMX (turndown being my #1) and I can't do a turndown so I settle for tables. The turndown will happen, and when it does, it will be the most posted photo of all time and I prolly will never need to ride ever again... I'll just live off the thrill of that one Landed trick, happily retired, career over.

From Fillmore it was off to Santa Clarita, we were warned how busy it would be, it was a beautiful evening and the park was well lit and very busy. This was the only park or place even, we went to with a New England vibe. The local kids sized you up and came over and did a tail whip in your face to let you know that.... they could do tail whips?? I don't get it either, but whatever, it happens around home all the time. Funny how you can roll up to most any park out west, and the who's who of BMX could be there, and they extend a hand and say hello before you even take a pedal, and there are those places where the kids that have a trendy trick or two up their sleeve, do it in your face as soon as you roll in and then stare at you waiting to see what you got. Lucky for us, the DG crew just had smiles and laughter for tricks and we were the ones extending the hands trying to talk to people at Santa Clarita. Either way, an amazing park that would be a great place had it been slightly less busy. After the park, we took a 2 hour drive to HOLLYWOOD!!!!!
