Not a Milestone, but just another mile.
November 1st. This day 11 years ago was the first time the open sign was lit and the Daily Grind became real. A small shop, big ideas, no clue what I was doing. Pretty cool that things are still pretty much the same.
This place has given me more than I could have ever imagined it would. The amount of people who have travelled to see this place, teams and pro dudes and travelling BMXers. The list is long. None of that compares to the family of shop guys I have had here over the years. The very best of friends, the very best of times in my life spent with these guys. Hennessey, Buckler, Barcus, Webster Jake, Mercenary Steve, Lurkins, Burns, Mike Kuchy, Aaron Brais, Niel Bissonett, Xavier, Joe Grandelski, Foiscowski, Miller Joe, Mark Tetrault, Justin Koziol,Jordo Vieira, Joe Lucy Goosy,Nick Prete, Little Chris D'Aiello, Adam Nason, Sam Jones, Daniel james Mcmahon, and FRANK!!! All these guys have been amazing to me and make the shop what it is, actually they make it more than it is. So much more than a place full of parts and product. There is literally no way to thank these guys. There is literally no way to explain how I feel about DG or BMX in general. There is no way to Thank all the customers who have spent a dollar here to keep me open and keep my little BMX dream alive but if I could you all know I would go all out to do it!!!
So here we are 11 years later. The shop has changed a bit. I still have big ideas. Still pretty clueless.
Year 11 looks real amazing! I have a sweet promotion coming up with all my favorite brands, it's gonna be an amazing time to stroll through these doors in the next year. To all my shop guys, I love you all, total homo style. I would do anything for you guys!
To everyone, Thank you.

HELL-O HOLLOWEEN!!
I got the guys together(Minus Nick who had to work) for a holloween jam at the park. The deal was to have a bowl sesh, and be in costume and best costume wins Moes. Joe won for the dick suit and just narrowly beat Frank who shaved off his full beard to go all in as LT. Dangle Ironic part of the costumes is Joe is the nicest person you'll ever meet and Frank already had the short shorts cause he wears them every night. : ) Check out the pics and I am making a super quick edit that will post today so check back in for that!!!

NEW ENGLAND JAM CHOWDA>>>
New England Jam Chowda has once again come and gone....
Apologies to the guys who check the site, the post will be coming once again!!
Crazy to me that it takes 5 months of phone calls and emails to do that thing and then come Oct. 6th, rain or shine(and it was all rain) everyone shows up, sets up, and smiles and laughs and just enjoys the company of all the dudes from all the shops and scenes. Kinda crazy that I tried making the event bigger when we already had everything we needed. I want to thanks anyone who came. As I walked around all day I took in all you guys just hanging out having a good time in what most people would say was miserable weather. It was awesome that all the shop booths were occupied by people from other shops. It was hard to find the shop owners in their own booths and that is the whole reason this jam came to be. Very proud to be a part of this scene. The best, very best BMX scene in the country filled with the very best people who make it so good. Thank you guys!!! Amazing to have 700 people hanging out who get it.
One last jam next year. I was gonna say lets go big, but after this year, lets just go together.
Thanks to Joe Miller for the photo.

Joe Lussier at Baltic Skatepark Pt.2
Josh Foisey (youtube.com/foiscowski & vimeo.com/joshfoisey) and shop rider Joe Lussier teamed up again for their annual Baltic Skatepark Edit. Unlike last year's edit that only took 2 days to film, Pt. 2 was a grueling 4 month process, but proves to be well worth the time and effort from the CTFatKid and Joey Numbers. Check it out!

A sorry note for the few who view....
I appologize for the lack of effort in posting the goings on at the shop lately. I have been consumed with organizing the jam. Thats right, unless this is the first time you have heard anything from me, you have heard me talk about New England Jam Chowda. I have been spending most of my days for the past few months making phone calls, and answering emails, trying to get the 40 or so different shops and brands all together on one day, Sunday Oct. 6th 2014. I have been working with everyone to get info to promote their brands, shops, websites and so on. Getting people what they need to get obstacles built, ideas, plans, art, and so much more. Editing videos, getting shirts printed, signs made, renting dunk tanks, porto-potties, sound systems. Getting people places to camp, hotels, rides to and from the airports. Getting the companies we al buy from to give back and send us some prizes (I personally hate that part) I also hate putting my shop second to anything, but this jam is def. worth it in the end.
The best part of doing this event for me is the realization that that are so many people who feel the way I do about BMX. The out-pouring of support from everyone is just overwhelming at times. To see all the shops jump in right away, to have people contact me cause they want to support it, to have boxes and boxes of product sent here from all these amazing places, the list goes on and on...
I am truly psyched to have all my friends in one place at one time, to celebrate how awesome BMX is here in New England and all over really.
Soooo thats why the shop has taken a back seat for a bit. It is def. a struggle to take the time I spend getting people to come to the shop and put that aside to promote and make the Jam happen. Taking months of work for a Jam that lasts about 8 hours.... Bottom line is it is just soooooooo worth it. I hope everyone plans on coming to this amazing celebration of little kids bikes and friends and life as we know it. Save up your ten bucks now, I promise I have been doing everything in my abilities to make the Jam as good as I know how to make it.
Please check out the NEJC site It is updated everyday!!! See you all there!!!!

On the fence...
If you know me at all you know I love just about everything BMX. This year after all the work of putting on New England Jam Chowda, and having that huge BMX festival here in town, I really wanted to go to Texas Toast, the biggest BMX event in the US the 3rd week in Oct.
Austin is sooo amazing for BMX and I can't wait to get there again. Thing is, my Momdukes booked this amazing trip to St. Thomas the same week. I have been sitting on this fence for a few weeks, which one do I go to?? It seems like both would be ideal, but I can only be away from the store for 1 week, and both is not an option as it takes about two days to get from Austin to St. Thomas (from Boston to St. Thomas is under 4 hours-go figure) and it's just not worth the money to be in either place for only 2 days...
Sooo after many days I have finally jumped the fence and bought my plane tickets last night!! Super psyched to see NORA cup, a T-1 party, and the whos who of BMX will be in Austin, while I am sitting on the beach with my Mom dukes, uncle Bob, and AMC. Bottom line comes down to spending time with the people you love while you can. Looking forward to an amazing time away from bikes for a few days... Thanks for opportunity Ma!!!!

The FBM Post Apocalympics
FBM has gone done it again. Another BMX event just weeks after the last one, just weeks after the tour just weeks after another event. You get the point. It won't be the high dollar, energy drink sponsored event you see on espn, but would you go to that anyway? FBM gives back more than anyone else in the industry, and this years Post Apocolypics was exactly that. Custom tee when you walk through the tent, tons of smiles and just good times attitudes. Even pouring rain didn't slow anyone down. Dudes were ripping and everyone stayed outside and honestly it was almost better than if stayed dry. I got to see a 30 person slip and slide, a dude roast over a truck in pouring, hard pouring rain, and more high fives than you can handle. This is just my kind of event.
If there ever was a huge budget for an FBM contest, I wouldn't think they would want it any other way than what it already is. Here a few pics that Jared Brassard and I took while we were there.
Pics: Crandall and the FBM bus, Henny with a tire ride on a chunk of steel, Chuck with a double pegger on a trucksubbox, chuck with an almost table, Henny with a real table, Derek Nelson makes some rideable art, unknown over ice through a pic up trucks passenger window, Nac-nac on the wedge spine amazing whatever it is called, and Brien K repping some sparks distro with a rain soaked table!
Thanks to Jared for drivin out there with me.

Roadtrippin.... kinda-not really
The hardest part of having the shop, or "a job" I guess, is having to choose between being here for the shop, or going out and having fun. Not that the shop is not fun, but you only have one life to live so if you wanna do something, you should just go do it. Well, this year there have been so many events, so many good things going on in New England that I now have to pick and choose what to do and what not to do. This weekend is no exception. FBM post-apocalymipics is in NY, There is a huge ramp jam in Vermont, and I have plans with mom dukes... I already decided not to go to the Lake Jump FBM event two weeks ago and the Welcome jam last weekend, now I am once again staying home so I can hang with momdukes tonight, and work the shop Sat,Sun, Mon.
It's a tough fence for me to sit on but all in all the shop pays for us to do all the things we do, I need to be here and I am looking forward to another amazing January adventure with my best of friends on the west coast, so today I looked through the thousands of trip pics I have from over the years and in a flashback Friday post, here is one of my favorites to Kentucky with two of my best friends.
Dan Macmahon, Eric Hennesey, and I got on a plane and went to Louisville KY for three days. Seriously was so fun, started out with me not being able to go and then last minute deciding "fuck it" and pulling the trigger, I never told Dan or Eric and I just showed up at the airport and everyone got real psyched. To this day, this B&W is one my favorite photos.
All I wanted to do for riding on this trip was 180 this rail hop. I expected it to wait till the last day so I could gain some confidence and go for it cause time was running out, but instead, Eric made a B-line for it as soon as our bikes were together and with a little encouragement I got it done within the first half hour we were on our bikes. Amazing
Dan did this sweeet Fufunu on a jersey barrier just a bit down the street from the largest skate park in the US.
Here is a little edit of the trip, seriously so many more pics and memories but I already wrote more than most of you would read, and those memories are right were they belong, with me, Eric and Dan.

Annnnd it's gone... The Donnor party, Jam at Granite Gorge was a wild wild time. It is so awesome to see a 9' tall box jump made out of pallets and have everyone at the Jam session it. The course was simply amazing. Dirt, scrap wood, blood, sweat, and tears all made one crazy idea a reality. Here's a few photos from the weekend.
