Rainy days...

We decked Mark out in some Independent beer colored gear. He is gonna be rockin a half full mug of brewskie everywhere he goes this summer!!!

Also I put the GL2 up for sale, anyone who is seriously interested can just call the shop, I think the ebay bid runs out friday night. Should be gone by then. You get the cam, lens,filter,two batteries, charger, lens pen, and a canon camera bag to haul it all to your fave spot.

Sean Adams sent this pic he made over today and I am pumped on it!! I love it when people send me stuff like this cause it means they like this place enough to take the time to do this. I usually get gifts in the form of pictures, or drawings and mostly it's either triangle shaped cardboard boxes filled with pizza or some aluminum cans filled with brewskies. Every once in a while I get some really kool shit like this engraved Zippo lighter!!! No matter what it is big or small, I love it, it's awesome that you like this place, so Thanks for the pic Sean!!!!!

I clicked on my computer to let a customer check out the Sparkys site to get a new part and of course my home page, Yahoo news, pops up first. The customer, a mom, says "Oh my god, what were you looking at last?" and I was like huh, so I take a look and there is this picture of a duck covered in oil which at a quick glance resembles a vagina. Mind is in the gutter lady. haha Then when you look at the photo and read te headline, it all reads true. "Haunting photos from Oil spill disaster"

Dick Mauls bike shop

Kink bikes east coast tour made at a stop at Dick Mauls bike shop this past Sunday. Dick Mauls has been around since the 80's and it was the first shop i ever knew of that catered to the 20 inch. I finally made a trip out with a bunch of the shop guys to check out the shop and hang with the guys. No surprise the shop is sick, super stocked and friendly dudes running it. A true BMX feel which is awesome cause I think it is everything I have tried to make DG be. The ramps were super fun and it was just a good laid back bmx BBq of a time.
Little Chris, AKA Shaun White, AKA "I fell fell and knocked the wind out me, blacked out and was in a coma for a second" shredded with the Kink dudes. it was cool for me to see Chris Doyle rip a huge turndown and then on the way back here comes little Chris with a turndown of his own. Sweeeet
Sam Jones and Frank went for the ride as well, i think it is safe to say "A good time was had by all." haha Check these pics!!!

Brian B's B-days...

Brian B is one of my favorite customers. He always has a smile on his face and is pumped on BMX. His dad comes by once a week and is always good for a fun conversation on just about anything. These guys go above and beyond to help always offering anything they can. This was the second year we had a B-day ramp ride/BBq with Brian, his family, and all the shop guys. It was a great time for sure!!!

Nick is a an Ape!!! Call shit out and it gets done with this transfer between the poles to 180 on another quarter 10 feet back. First try was crazy, Nicks shoulder took it to the pole and he straight blew off his bike... Nuckin Futs!!

I have added foot jams to my reg. trick list. Now that list is 3 deep!

Chris almost got this bar spin, it was sick watchin him almost get it time after time, taking it each time and not even complaining or blacking out at all. he is sure to be getting barspins on lock soon. Sick job dude!!

Tito came over and pulled the usual Tito... Killed it with a wall tap between the windows, fakie wall ride between the windows and his usual funny antics, then he took off to get ready for another weekend roadbike race.

This is one of the other tricks on my reg trick list. A foot plant thingy, this time on the pole.

NICK P. railhops X 3!!

Talked Nick into doin the three railhops in town within a half hour, he did em in fifteen minutes with only a run up or two.. Man I love lunch breaks like this. Pizza time followed!!!

Kink bike co. gets it. They are by far the most supportive company I have ever come across. Kink is first to take care of any customer needs as well as their dealers with any shop needs. Chris just hooked up a kid here in the shop with a new Tacco frame when he found a very small imperfection with an older frame he was running. They stand behind it all!!! Shop tours and dealer days at Rays, Holloween Jams and so much more. I am proud to say that I stock EVERYTHING Kink makes.
